This Humber Super Snipe Estate was manufactured by the Rootes Group in 1960. Known in Humber circles as AMY this is one of a very rare Series 11 model with single headlight version of the Super Snipe Estate lovingly restored by 2 sadly departed Humber collectors. Reluctantly this one has come on the market and the wish is it goes to a new home who will cherish this unique piece of British motoring history. The history of the vehicle is fully catalogued and featured in a restoration story in the August 2010 edition of Classics magazine. The owner at time was Len Jones who again well known in the Humber circles. The first owner of 140AYM was the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane London who used this one and her sister car 141AYM to do Heathrow airport transfers. Fascinating history so help us preserve it. Viewing by appointment as vehicle stored offsite.
